VarCT Diagnostics has received funding from Innovation Fund Denmark to participate in the project Seamless automated end-to-end workflow for high purity extraction of rare cells from body fluids (PureCell). The project application was rated as the number one out of 500 eligible EU applications.

Current medical possibilities for personalized diagnosis and treatment lead to an acute and increasing need for supporting liquid biopsy technologies. Key to success of such approaches is a complete and automated workflow isolating single cells from body fluids with high sensitivity, specificity, and versatility. With PureCell we aim to close this important gap for cancer diagnostics. The project will commence June 2021 with participation of Automated Lab Solutions GmbH, University of Copenhagen, Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, and VarCT Diagnostics.
